Does your Child Need Support? The Parent List is Now Easier to Search and Use

News

The Parent List resource has been improved with search capabilities and a new look that make it easier to find support for your child. Take a peek by clicking this link: https://hcpto.org/parentlist-resource/

The Parent List contains first-hand insight from local parents about providers that have helped address their child’s anxiety, depression, school avoidance, eating disorders, insomnia, peer relations, grief, stress, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum, substance abuse, sexual orientation and more.

Doctors, therapists, support groups, inpatient and outpatient programs, nutritionists, books and holistic medical approaches may all be reviewed by parents on The Parent List.

Much like Angie’s List, The Parent List relies on consumer feedback. New reviews are needed to keep the list current.

Helping another family by leaving an anonymous review takes less than five minutes and can be accomplished by clicking HERE

Questions can be directed to:   parentlist@hcpto.org

In no way does the Hinsdale Central High School PTO, Hinsdale Central High School staff, or school districts 86, 63 or 181 endorse or recommend any specific provider reviewed on The Parent List. The Parent List is a subjective forum set up by the Hinsdale Central PTO for your convenience. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for deciding to use any of the service providers on The Parent List in any capacity, and districts 86, 63, 181 and the Hinsdale Central High School PTO disclaim all liability for any damages, injuries, losses, expenses, or claims of any kind arising out of the provision of services by anyone or any agency appearing on The Parent List.

Q3 Make A Difference Award Nominations

News

At Hinsdale Central, many teachers and staff members go above and beyond to engage students or provide extra support to others in our Red Devil community. They teach classes, advise clubs, coach teams, and provide services that “make a difference” at our school. If you know of a teacher or staff member whose dedication or kindness has had a positive and lasting impact on you or your student, please nominate them for a Make A Difference Award by completing the form found here.

Anyone can make a nomination. Students will also receive this information directly via their school email. The PTO presents six Make A Difference Awards each quarter. The awards include our thanks with a personalized certificate and a $50 gift card.

Nominations received by Friday, March 4th, 2022 will be considered for the third quarter awards. You can view a list of recent Make A Difference Award recipients here. If you have any questions, please contact Patty Pappas or Alice Waverley at makeadifference@hcpto.org
