The HC Staff and PTO are committed to supporting families by providing information to help you and your students be successful academically. Much of this applies year-round to tests, assessments, and finals.
Videos & Presentations
- This presentation on the intentional and mindful use of artificial intelligence in education to support teaching and learning was presented by Dr. Chris Cirrincione, API, and James Milkert, Director of Professional Learning. The video can be found here.
- This video and a condensed one-pager of their presentation will help your student achieve academic success during finals. Speakers included Dr. Cirrincione, Ms.Sarah Porod, Math Department Chair, and Social Studies Department Chair Mr. Mark Meyer, who shared valuable advice. Dr. Cirrincione specifically shared the RDR First Semester Finals Organizer.
- This video has tips on how students can be supported at home. Ms. Kim, Ms. Galich, Mr. Kostro & Ms. Ketterhagen presented the core areas of English, Math, Science, and World Languages.

- Your student’s teacher! Find out when their free periods are or reach out via email to set-up time before or after school. Our teachers want every student to be successful and will usually go above and beyond to be accessible when a student asks for assistance
- The Academic Resource Center (ARC) – The ARC is available for all students. Students can get help from student tutors in every subject and from HCHS math teachers. Students can stop in for homework help, review for an assessment, make corrections, brainstorm outlines for essays, proofread papers, and more. - Free Community Study Events & Tutoring:
- The Hinsdale Public Library has space to study, host study events and practice College Board testing. Visit the HPL website for more details.
- The Clarendon Hills Library allows CHPL cardholders access to free online tutors! The expert tutors at Tutor.com can help your children work through a tough homework problem, improve their writing skills, study for a test, review a difficult concept, and more! - Peer Tutoring
- NHS Tutors – HCHS compiles a list of students who are willing to tutor outside of school. If you are interested in tutoring, you should contact the individual directly. Here is a list of ‘25-26 HCHS National Honor Society student tutors.
- PASS – Peer Athlete Student Scholars (P.A.S.S.) offers free study groups or one-on-one tutoring with a wide variety of student-athlete tutors that can help you manage your schoolwork and sports stress-free!
- Tutor Connect – Started and operated by an HCHS tutor. Find a private tutor for $20-$30 an hour. All tutors are current/former Central students. Visit Tutor Connect here.
