Your Input in Action! 23-24 PTO Meetings

Denys KangNews

We appreciate everyone who took the time to provide input on the most valuable information and topics that the PTO can bring to you! If you have not had a chance to fill out the survey, please do so today! We will be working with Principal Walsh to finalize the topics for the remaining PTO meetings based on what is on your mind.

If you did not have a chance- it is not too late! Please complete this short survey by October 28th

The complete list of PTO meeting dates, times, and topics will be available by our next meeting on Wednesday, November 15th at 6pm on Zoom.

The November 15th PTO Discussion is focused on preparing students for assessments and finals. We will have teachers from the core areas prerecording tips and how students can be supported at home. Ms. Kim, Ms. Galich, Mr. Kostro & Ms. Ketterhagen will present on the core areas of English, Math, Science, and World Languages. Since the teachers will be prerecorded, we wanted to ensure that they would proactively be able to answer questions. We will also take additional questions and bring updates back to you.

Director of Counseling & Social Work Jen Regnier, and Assistant Principal for Instruction Chris Cirrincione will be live on Zoom to provide insight and tips and answer any questions.

D86 Family-School Relationships Survey Deadline Extended to 10/23!

Denys KangNews

District 86 is extending the deadline for completing the Family-School Relationships Survey to give people a little more time to provide their feedback on topics that are critical to the success of our students. At this time, the survey has been filled out by less than 15% of our parents/guardians (target is 35%).

If you still need to take the survey, which will be open until Oct. 23 at 4 p.m., you can do so by visiting https://surveys.panoramaed.com/hinsdale86 and using the access code for your child’s school (6856188935 for Hinsdale Central, 6852383990 for Hinsdale South and 7852119788 for the Transition Center).

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Many volunteers are needed to help with the Staff Appreciation Fall 2023 Welcome Back to School Luncheon. A fun event enjoyed by all…and the one event where the most help is needed!

The luncheon is scheduled for Friday, October 27th. A catered lunch of salad and sandwiches will be served buffet style in the staff cafeteria. There will be 300 staff members attending this luncheon over the course of 5 lunch periods. Sign up HERE.

Please consider helping in any of the following ways:
1. Provide a fresh fruit platter.

2. Provide 4 dozen cookies or dessert bars.

3. Provide two mums in a pot tied with a fall seasonal bow to be the centerpieces on the tables.

5. Volunteer on the day of the event.

*Please deliver all donations to the Grant Street Entrance and leave items on the carts that are provided the morning of October 27th by 8:00 AM.
