High School After Dark Trivia Night:

Trivia Through the Decades

Friday, Jan. 26, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

HPL’s Junior Advisory Board is hosting this friendly, competitive evening. We will provide snacks, drinks, and trivia from each decade during this after-hours high school event. Register as a single player or as a member of a team. Register here.

Practice ACT

Saturday, Jan. 27, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Maximize your test day scores by taking a practice ACT proctored by The Village Tutors. You will receive detailed results to help you prep for the winter exams. Limited to high school students. Register here.

Kick-off 2024 learning about the course selection process and any changes to curriculum on Wednesday, Jan. 10th at 7pm on Zoom.

Assistant Principal of Instruction, Chris Cirrincione and Director of Counseling, Jen Regnier will discuss:

• Update on MTSS plan

If you have any specific questions, please submit HERE. There will also be an opportunity during the meeting for questions. Zoom log-in information will be sent out on Tuesday, 1/9 before the meeting.

Thank you to co-chairs Meraiah Bernacki and Lisa Romberger for organizing The 35th annual Holiday Breakfast for staff on 12/7.  Their dedication and hard work to make the teachers and staff feel appreciated was recognized by everyone. It was a truly festive time and enjoyed by the Central staff. Thank you to all the committee members who came to set up at 5am, helped during the event, and cleaned up afterwards!

Stress less over finals at the Library this winter. You provide the study materials, and we’ll provide space to study and snacks to keep you going. Together, it’s the perfect equation for finals prep!

• Snacks will be provided from Sat., Dec. 16th to Thurs., Dec. 21st.
• Stress-buster activities will be offered every afternoon in the Teen Lounge:
  • Mon., Dec. 18th: Make your own stress ball
  • Tue., Dec. 19th, 5:00pm: Therapy dog visit
  • Wed., Dec. 20th: Relaxing rock painting
  • Thurs., Dec. 21st: Winter-themed mandala coloring pages
• Follow HPL on Instagram by Dec. 15th and be entered into a drawing to win VIP Study Space, up to 4 hours in our spacious Board Room for you and up to 5 of your friends with a basket of gourmet snacks from Trader Joe’s. Winners will be notified on Dec. 15th.
• Remember that HPL card holders can reserve study rooms up to two weeks in advance. We anticipate study rooms to fill quickly and recommend advance reservations. Reservations are limited to two hours, and individuals can only make one reservation per day.
