Hello Central Parents! I’m, Jennifer Cave, I’m one of the social workers here at Central. I come to you in hopes you could join me at this year’s Color Walk for Mental Health. This is an excellent event for the whole family! I’m very passionate about this event because not only does it help reduce the stigma around Mental Health, but it also helps support equitable mental health services for our D86 Community. Students and families have been able to access counseling through The Community House at a rate they can afford. Let’s continue to support The Community House by helping them fundraise through this year’s Color Walk.So, come join me and many other community members on May 19th from 8:30-11am
This event is excellent for the whole family, even your four-legged friend! In 2021-2022, we had about 400 community members. Last year, almost 1000 community members joined the walk! With your help, we can double the number of participants!
If your son or daughter is in a sport, please encourage your coach to participate in this year’s event. If you are willing to organize on behalf of your child’s sport, I’ll help you register and get all set up!
