Directory Spot-Online Directory

Denys KangNews

Hinsdale Central PTO provides online directory access (there will not be a printed copy of the directory) to all paid members of the 2024-2025 school year.

The administration will provide the directory information which will be downloaded to DirectorySpot.  This usually happens in early-mid September.  Everyone will get a chance to verify the data and decide to delete their information or edit the information that the Hinsdale Central community members can see. By early October, access to the online directory will only be available to families with a paid PTO membership for the 2024-2025 school year.

If your family was not part of Hinsdale Central for the 2023-2024 school year, you will not be able to access Directory Spot, even if you have a paid 2024-2025 membership.  This is because your email does not exist in the Directory Spot system yet.

There will be an announcement through the PTO Newsletter and a Directory Spot email when Directory Spot is updated for the 2024-2025 school year.

If you have any other questions, please email directory@hcpto.org.

Welcome Class of 2028!

Denys KangNews

Welcome to the Class of 2028! Get ready to #BringYourFire

Here are some important dates and information to prepare for the start of the school year:

If you were unable to pick up your Chromebook, you will need to get it on the first day of school, August 15, 2024. Only those that have completed the online registration process and turned in the necessary medical forms to the health office will be able to pick up Chromebook.

Wednesday, August 14 from 1-4 pm: The building will be open for students to walk their schedules and find their lockers if they wish. Link Crew Leaders and Ambassadors will connect with incoming freshmen and new students to possibly meet up with them during this time to walk the halls and get familiar with the building. This is NOT the time for students and families to meet staff and ask questions about classes as staff is spending time getting ready for students the next day.

If you have not completed the registration process for your student and need assistance, please contact the school registrars below.

Volunteers Still Needed for the 2024-2025 School Year!

Denys KangNews

Thank you to all of our amazing PTO volunteers! Whether you chaired or worked on a committee, donated your time and resources, or served on the Executive Board, all of these made a positive impact on the students, parents, staff, and community.

We appreciate all of you who have already signed up! We still have openings to volunteer for the 2024-2025 school year. Chairs are needed for Post Prom (Prom is early May and this is a wonderful opportunity for Freshman & Sophomore parents to get involved), social media, and Chairs “in training” for the Parent List. We are also seeking a Secretary and VP for the Executive Board.

Volunteering is a rewarding experience and the staff is incredibly grateful for all that we do on their behalf and for the students. Being a member of the Board allows you to ensure that we are meeting the needs of parents and students by providing the relevant meeting topics and resources.

Remember how helpless you felt?

Denys KangNews

When suddenly faced with your child’s emotional, developmental, learning or health problem, where did you turn to find treatment that worked?

As we wrap up the school year, please add to our list of health care reviews on The Parent List. It takes less than 5 minutes and is anonymous.  Click HERE

The Parent List contains first-hand insights from district 86 and 181 parents about providers that helped address their child’s anxiety, depression, school avoidance, eating disorders, insomnia, peer relations, grief, stress, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum, and more.

Doctors, therapists, support groups, in- and out-patient programs, nutritionists, books, and holistic medical approaches may all be reviewed on The Parent List.

To read the existing reviews of providers, go to hcpto.org/parent-list/

Questions can be emailed to:   parentlist@hcpto.org
