Donations Needed for Families Helping Families Committee

Sujit MenonNews

The Families Helping Families Committee at Hinsdale Central has been working with the Social Work Department since 2006 to support families at Central that need a helping hand. We are looking for monetary donations from the school community to help us in meeting these families’ needs.

Please consider donating by using our online form at https://hcpto.org/donate/ and selecting “Families Helping Families” from the committee list.

Your donation will help to provide gift cards to families at Thanksgiving as well as for meeting needs as they arise, such as gas cards, clothing, etc.

Thank you for your generous support!

Philanthropy Opportunity for Juniors & Seniors

Sujit MenonNews

Attention Juniors and Seniors! The Community Memorial Foundation is inviting motivated juniors and seniors to apply to its Young Community Changemakers (YC2) development program. YC2 is a leadership development program for current juniors and seniors designed to educate and empower local youth to become our community’s next generation of philanthropists — those who give their time, talent and treasure for the common good. Curricula encourages students to explore our local community and its social needs; learn about philanthropic theory; and engage in organizational evaluation and grant making. At the end of the program, students collectively award up to $30,000 of Foundation funding to local nonprofit organizations that further the mission and vision of Community Memorial Foundation.

Applications are due by Friday, November 6, 2020 at 5:00PM. Learn more and apply at here.

Hinsdale Central Boosters

Sujit MenonNews

Hello Hinsdale Central Families!

We know that it has been a challenging start to the school year as we all adjust to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hinsdale Central Boosters is a registered 501(c) 3 charitable, parent run organization. We provide financial support to numerous clubs, teams and art programs at Hinsdale Central through our annual grants. Over the last five years our donations have totaled almost $220,000. A portion of the clubs and teams that have received grants are highlighted below.

Typically a Booster membership would entitle you to free admission to all regularly scheduled home athletic events. This year, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) has mandated an adjusted sports schedule and no spectators will be allowed at sporting events. While we are all disappointed, we hope that you will still consider supporting Boosters through your Membership and/or donations so we may continue to support the Arts, Activities and Athletics at HCHS.

You can donate or become a member through our website www.theboosters.com or via your HCHS Pushcoin account. We wish you and your student the best for a safe and successful school year! Also, depending on the level selected, your membership will come with some cool HCHS swag like blankets, umbrellas or stadium chairs.

The HCHS Booster Board

  • Activity & Arts Recipients – Post Prom, Habitat for Humanity, Science Olympiad, Band, Drama Club, Robotics Club, Forensics, Business Professionals of America, Pommers, Red Devil Mascot Costume, 5 Star Student Activity App, United Club, International Club, Ecology Club, Spanish Club & Freshman Orientation….just to name a few!
  • Athletic Recipients – Girls Lacrosse, Gymnastics, Football, Track, Cross Country, Wrestling, Swimming, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, Golf, Water Polo, Baseball and a new sound system…just to name a few!

It’s ALWAYS a GREAT day to be a RED DEVIL!
