Holiday Breakfast — Thank You to our Volunteers

hcptoNews

The Annual Holiday Breakfast for Hinsdale Central teachers and staff was a resounding success! A beautifully decorated room, fabulous food, and wonderful music provided by students created a festive and fun experience. We’d like to thank our co-chairs, Fatima Hussain and Mariana Geibel, for organizing the breakfast. Thank you, also, to parents who donated food, decorations, and time to the event. We could not have done it without you!

Q2 Make A Difference Award Nominations

hcptoNews

At Hinsdale Central, many staff members offer special help and reach out in kindness to those around them. They teach classes, advise clubs and coach teams that excite the students. If you know a teacher, coach, counselor or other staff member who makes a difference, please nominate them for an award.

Anyone can make a nomination. The PTO presents 6 Make A Difference Awards per quarter. The awards include our thanks with a personalized certificate and a $50 restaurant gift card. Nominations received by Friday, Dec. 15th  will be considered for the second quarter Make A Difference Awards.

Does Your Red Devil Have Too Many Tests on One Day?

hcptoNews

If your student is overwhelmed because they have too many tests scheduled on the same day they have the option of requesting to reschedule the tests. A student should download the Request to Reschedule an Exam Form fill it out, have their teacher sign it, parent sign it, and sign it themselves.

The form should then be submitted to the Deans’ Office for final approval.

Please be sure your student reads the form and follows the procedures required.

This is an option for all tests, not just final exams.
