Hinsdale Central PTO Parent List Resource

Denys KangNews

The Parent List: A Hinsdale PTO supported resource for all

things behavioral, learning and mental health

UPDATE! The Parent List is in need of new reviews to remain current. The

resource hasn’t received any new reviews for 2026. Your input is completely

anonymous! Please help another parent by taking 2 minutes to submit a review

about a local provider who you had a positive experience with by clicking HERE

The Parent List contains first-hand reviews from local parents about area providers that

have helped positively address their child’s anxiety; depression; school avoidance;

eating disorders; insomnia; peer relations; dyslexia; ADD/ADHD; autism and

more. Much like “Angie’s List,” The Parent List is an online list of resources in our

community that have already been successfully used by another area parent whose

child has experienced mental health, learning or behavioral issues.

Did you know that young children experiencing mental health issues may present with

more subtle symptoms? For example, anxiety can show up as recurring stomach aches,

headaches, sleep disturbances, school refusal or other physical complaints. Children

experiencing depression may become easily irritated on a routine basis or have more

frequent bouts of crying/sadness.

In Case You Missed It: PTO Meeting Recording Now Available

Denys KangNews

In Case You Missed It:
If you were unable to attend our recent PTO meeting, we apologize for the technical difficulties that occurred during the live event. The meeting included an important discussion on the intentional and mindful use of artificial intelligence in education, presented by Dr. Chris Cirrincione, API, and James Milkert, Director of Professional Learning, highlighting how AI can be used to thoughtfully support teaching and learning.

The meeting also featured an overview of classroom cell phone expectations, specifically the practice of “Bell to Bell, No Cell,” presented by Ryan Maita, APO, and how this approach supports student focus and engagement.

Unfortunately, issues with the Zoom link prevented some participants from being able to view the meeting live, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding and are pleased to share the full presentation recording so everyone has the opportunity to view it.

Watch the presentation on YouTube HERE.

Holiday Bash 2025 A Huge Success!

Denys KangNews

Thank you so much to all of our amazing donors who contributed to the success of the Holiday Bash! Your contributions every year never cease to amaze me! Every donation counts, and the entire staff of Hinsdale Central is so grateful!
A special thank you to our volunteers who worked hard before, during and after: Mark Bernacki, Jess Christensen, Mary Crisostomo, Sara Johnson, Denys Kang, Kathy Schilder, Grace Shin, and Emily Van Houtte.
The lines were long to get into the beautifully transformed Multi-Purpose room, but it was worth the wait! This year, we entertained our wonderful and dedicated staff with Carol-Oke. As always, staff came in their holiday best, enjoyed festive music, and a grand raffle was announced!
Please enjoy a little VIDEO of this year’s Holiday Bash.
Thank you again for everyone’s help and contributions!
