Q4 Make A Difference Nominations Now Open!

Denys KangNews

If you know of any teachers or staff members who go ABOVE AND BEYOND to engage students or provide extra support to others in our Red Devil community, NOMINATE them! These individuals are all around us. They teach classes, advise clubs, coach teams, and provide services that truly “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” at our school. When describing why this individual deserves the award, PLEASE BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE! Although applications must be signed, those who submit nominations will remain anonymous.  Please nominate them HERE.
The PTO presents six recipients with Make A Difference Awards each quarter.  The awards include our appreciation with a personalized certificate and $100 gift card.
Nominations received by Friday, May 8th will be considered for the fourth quarter awards.
Those nominated who have not received an award within the past 8 quarters are eligible for this current quarter.  You can view a list of past Make A Difference recipients HERE.
If you have any questions, please contact co-chairs Denys Kang, Grace Shin, or Kristin Tu at makeadifference@hcpto.org.

Community Speaker Event this Tuesday – Your Perfect Fit: Navigating the Path to Your Dream School

Denys KangNews

Please join us this Tuesday, 4/28, from 7-8:30pm at the Hinsdale Central Auditorium for a Community Speaker Series event. We are excited to welcome New York Times bestselling author and higher education expert, Jeff Selingo. Jeff is a leading voice on college admissions, higher education trends, and the evolving path from high school to college and career.

In his latest book, Dream School, Jeff Selingo helps families reimagine the college search process. At a time when admissions rates are historically low and the pressure to get into “top” schools feels overwhelming, Jeff offers a refreshing perspective: the best-fit college isn’t defined by rankings, but by the opportunities it provides. See FLYER for details.

Registration required HERE.

The Community Speaker Series is committed to fostering a sense of community through hosting in-person and virtual events that inform and inspire. CSS is funded jointly by District 86 and District 181 and is supported by the D181 Foundation. Our events are free and open to the public. We encourage everyone to join our events, connect, and learn together.
